Education Through Movement – Bringing Ballet and Dance into Zurich Schools
Are you a primary school in the Kanton Zurich interested in integrating movement, creativity, and confidence-building into your weekly schedule? The Yen Han Ballet Foundation invites your school to become the first participant in our 2025/2026 Outreach Program — a holistic, empowering dance education initiative designed for children aged 7 to 12.
This initiative brings professional ballet and dance instruction directly into school environments, where weekly classes offer far more than just physical activity. Through creative movement, musicality, and expressive exploration, students are guided in developing their full potential—physically, emotionally, and socially.
Offered free of charge and fully funded by the Foundation, the Outreach Program is designed to serve schools that are eager to give their students new tools for growth and well-being. As a young Foundation, we are beginning with one partner school for the 2025/2026 school year — and we warmly invite interested schools to reach out now.

Age Groups & Format
We are currently inviting applications from schools with students in the following age groups:
- Group 1: Ages 7–9
- Group 2: Ages 10–12
Classes will be held weekly at your school or a nearby facility and will be led by experienced teaching artists trained in both classical ballet and somatic movement pedagogy. Our approach is holistic and child-centered, combining joyful exploration with clear structure and gentle guidance.
Beyond the Studio – Performance Opportunities
Students who participate in the Outreach Program may also be invited to take part in selected performance productions created by the Foundation during the school year. These opportunities offer a transformative experience, deepening students’ sense of purpose, confidence, and team spirit.
